Week 5

Ok crazy thing that happened this week. YOURE NOT GUNNA BELIVE THIS. My companion and I were walking back and some elders stopped us and were like hey can we bear our testimonies in chinese to you. We were like yah and they did and it was pretty cool but after they were done it got wacky! My companion (Elder Christiansen) was like hey my name is elder christiansen and so is yours pointing to one of the chinese speaking elders. We laughed for a second and then we looked at his companions tag and it was Elder JORGENSEN! Crazy right?!?!?!? but then!!!! as my companion started to open his mouth to say something about it. Elder Jorgensen goes "yah hahah the crazy thing is my name is David" and I was like NOOO WAYYYYYY MY NAME IS JORGEN !!!!! then we rejoiced and took pictures together. Jorgen Davidson and David Jorgensen both companions with an elder christiansen.

Ok next point on the list. This one is kind of weird so bear with me. I am a weirdo and notice things like this. I had kind of noticed that there is one particular dress that I see different sisters wearing semi frequently (usually like twice a week) So finally after like three weeks of that I finally said something about it to my district and they were all like you're a weirdo that can actually be happening stop being a creep. And I was like hey just you guys wait I will start pointing it out. ever single day since that say we have seen a different sister wearing the dress. ITS A CONSPIRACY. I really dont know what is going on but I know that there is some sort of organized domestic crime or something behind this and ALLL the sisters are in on it. The 8 of us in my district are currently trying to figure out a way to get to the bottom of the great MTC dress conspiracy. More to come later hopefully we will save the MTC.

One of my teachers was gone all week (warrburton) and so we had several subs (including an hermana that is returned from McCallen heed) but one of the subs we had was mission companions with Hermano Wadsworth (my main teacher) the one who we love super duper much and is such a funny guy. Anyways his companion who subbed with us is a native speaker from guatamala and him and wadsworth are super good friends. They were together for 18 weeks and they had tons of success together. He told us funny stories about hermano wadsorth. But then ! he told us that Hermano Wadsworth had the best accent of any non native speaker he has heard in the MTC that he speaks basically perfectly. That he has literally never heard Hmno Wadsworth make a grammer mistake. AND that he is almost certani Hno WW's spanish vocabulary is larger than his. Wadsworth denies it because he is kinda a shy humble type of guy. Seriously Wadsworth is the biggest stud EVER.

I keep realizing everything I wrote down to talk to you all about is pretty weird but here we go on to the next point.

I like frisbee. Yiou all iknow that. Jumping is an impiortant part of frisbee. Jumping high makes you better. I like jumping. So basically I have been working out my vertical before bed every night with my roomates. The Roof is about at the height were you've got to get a pretty good jump to touch it. I have improved lots. But anyway last P day we are sitting in our room and this kid from downstairs comes up and walks into our room and is like. Hey .... um..... do you guys like jump off your beds at night or something. And we didnt really realize w2hat he was saying at first and he told is it was for a long time after 10:15 which is not when we juimp but anyway he was super awkward and kind of obnoxious. I was like umm I jump a little at like 9:30 ...? maybe thats what your talking about. Then he just stood there. So I was like are we bothering you do you want us to stop or something. He was like Yah its super anooying then he walked away. I didnt explain that really well but it was really funny. I have stopped jumping. Looks like elder holmes solved his mystery.

The mail really slowed down the second half of this week. It's ok though I know you all still love me. Right? Havent heard from mom in a while either but shes in turkey donig somthing or other right?

I also took a big photo with all my friends after a fireside this week. Clark Makade Jarod Nick and Sean were all tehre it was super fun and I got a bunch of good pictures.

I also took a series of pictures of my room today wehere walter ther cat is hiding somewhere in each one. Those sholud come to all of you sooner or later. Im not gonna lie they are pretty funyn.

This week has been good from a learning perspective. Gary Coleman spoke and the head of the missionary department spoke I think his last name was Allen.

I am so happy to be on a mission. That doesn't make it any less hard. But I know that I am doing what I am supposed to be doing. I know this is God's truth on the earth. Lots of people who dont know about the church really think we are pretty weird. And as a little kid I kind of thought we were too. However, I am learning more and more taht our church is actually like the least weird thing in this world. It's all biblically rooted. the great apostasy and the restoration make perfect sense. The book of mormon like someone said in conference is either the word of god or it is of the devil. It claims to be the word of God so it cant be inbetween. I have read the book of mormon. I know that it is not from the devil. It is the pure word of God. I wish more people would read it with an open mind because I know that it would manifest the truth unto them. I love you all so much and think of you often. In a loving testimony strengthening way not it a bad distracted missionary way.
